Who I am
Im Charlotte designer and jeweller behind Fairlight Designs . I have always had a strong passion for design, since studying Art and Design full-time at college I have dedicated both my academic and personal time to design. After finishing college I started studying at Bath Spa University in Textile Design with a major in Print Design and minor in Embroidery, here my love for colour and bold designs really took flight. My designs featured hand painted motifs and art-deco inspired patterns, in my final year I discovered my love for collage when designing and layering patterns ! This specific technique I implement in jewellery design work now, with sample designs created with hand-painted watercolour paintings and scrap paper findings.
After graduating from Bath Spa , I decided on a limb to join the Silversmithing class being held in Penzance Art School as a creative class to do in my free time, little did I know that would be the beginning of what was come.
Fairlight Design is a complete amalgamation of my love for colour and texture paired with the constant inspiration of the gorgeous natural landscape that surrounds us here in Penwith.
